| Sportivo | In this trimester I've built a JAVA application for a sportsclub "Sportivo", that manages participants and programmes. It is designed to be used by a Sportivo employee. The application connects to a MySQL database to store the various data.
The big emphasis of this trimester was developing according to Unified Process, the programming language JAVA,and the usage of MySQL and foreign keys in databases.
Before I started this project I had no experience in JAVA whatsoever. I had used MySQL before, but the theory was a good addition to the experience I've had with this particular part of ICT. | 3 | 48 |
| Nathalie in Bali | My sister is going to Bali for three months for a sports management internship. She needed a nice place on the interwebs to put her pictures, so that our family back home can follow her digitally without using some social network.
Because I made this site on a short notice, I used the CMS this very portfolio is running on. I've set nathalie.x-54.com up to use the beta files. Pages that are unique or adapted to Nathalie's site are stored seperately and can be called. This means the same script is actually running on multiple domains, using different settings and having a different appearance.
Developing this project led me to improve greatly on the existing project, but I think it's safe to say the visual presentation of this page is open for improvement. | 0 | |

| X-54 | When I registered x-54.com I did it for the cool. We will someday come to a point where a four character domain is out of reach for the little people, or (alternatively) the internet has outdated and we no longer call digital places with names. I used to cram everything on one domain, so I kinda liked the idea of having a seperate domain to experiment with PHP, MySQL and web-apps of some weird sort. I have things to show you, because I am after all a webdeveloper and possibly also a graphic designer. I'm not sure about that last bit, but fortunately you can form your own opinion by browsing through this portfolio. | 0 | |
